Sometimes a little creativity can go a long way… doing things differently and getting kids active and involved in the story can help the truth stick a little better.

Today’s tip: when you choose a bible story to read to your kids, try and find a way to set the scene using simple things you have on hand. To get started, you could have everyone sit under the dining table, pretend it’s a cave and read about David and Saul in the cave. Or use all the cushions in the house to build some walls to march around as you read about Joshua taking Jericho. If you’re feeling adventurous, let them raid the cupboards and the drawers to find objects that they think could symbolise the parts of the armour of God.

The crazy fun stuff doesn’t need to be reserved only for Sunday School lessons!
