Wake up because one child is up and has turned a light on somewhere. Lie in bed checking what has happened while I slept. Respond to Instagram comments, sigh about how many email lists I still seem to be subscribed to. Try to ignore the beeping coming from the fridge that means someone hasn’t shut it properly. Message a beautiful friend in the USA about an exciting new project. Try to ignore how much my back, feet and head are all hurting this morning. Think about how nice it would be to get a pedicure, except for the part where I hate having strangers touching my feet….
Cuddles and chats with the smallest one who is lying beside me slowly waking up.
Help the 6 year old make his lunch only to discover somehow the fridge is on the coldest setting and has frozen all the fruit and vegetables. Sigh. Also, I hope you appreciate just how much I am sharing the very important details of my day here.
Cooked myself a real breakfast. #winningatlife
Big kids to school. Work time. Custom lettering for church booklet. Drop some more text and graphics into booklet. Emails. Facebook catch up.
Smallest one flips out about a cleaning truck going around our street – much tears, many crying. Distract him by planning trip to the library then realise I’m still in my pyjamas. 43 second long “mum shower” (yes I can clean myself that fast, can’t you?). Dress toddler. He’s now over it and doesn’t want to go out. Of course. But also doesn’t want to let me work. “Sit down mumma”. Toddler cuddles.
Library. 3 books for the big boy. I win.
Toddler insists on going to “the blue shop” (still not sure what that is, but we went to the shops and bought… yep you guessed it, a chocolate egg).
Home. Locked out of the house. Because apparently someone was super diligent and locked the door from the garage to the house and I only took a garage remote with me…
Discover the husbands car and house keys in the garage because I was lazy and didn’t put them back when I moved his car in there yesterday.
Realise I HAVEN’T HAD COFFEE YET!!!!!!
I still haven’t had coffee.
Started making coffee then the smallest one decided it was sleep time!
Smallest one asleep. Work time! Phone call to a friend first…
Work on custom lettering for church booklet. Custom art for friend. Instagram post. Play with embossing stuff. Stare blankly at screen wondering what I was trying to get done….
Grumpy toddler wakes up. Cuddles, sitting outside. Sunshine is good.
Finally settled the smallest one, now sitting on “his red chair” beside me watching Cars 2 while I try and get a little more lettering edited. Quick lettering for Insta post this afternoon, and try this custom piece again that apparently hates me and just wont work. Go outside and look like a weirdo taking photos of this afternoon’s Insta post lettering standing in my front yard.
4 kids home from school + extra child we have for the afternoon.
Send updated version of the booklet to church.
Post in the new Pursuit Group welcoming people and asking for intros.
Friend dropped in for coffee.
Neighbour dropped in to see if I have a zucchini (I don’t, refer to 7:30am discovery of frozen fruit/veg in the fridge).
Feed 11 year old and extra child and get them ready for choir competition.
Drop 11 year old and extra child at school (2 minutes away) and pick up 13 year old who has just finished basketball.

Quiet. Silence. Bliss.
Finally some time to quietly read through all the lovely intros from my new Pursuit friends, reply to them all, make another video for Insta and post it. To enjoy the quiet……. Did I mention it’s so lovely and quiet? Facebook, Instagram, chill, repeat.
Bed. Podcast listening. Didn’t realise it was so late. oops!
